The brutal murder of a French citizen sees French homicide investigator Kahina Zadi (Leila Bekhti) go to Kiruna Sweden. Together with Rutger Burlin (Peter Stormare) she begins an investigation that soon takes on staggeriing proportions.
Midnight Sun was created in the magical world of Northern Sweden 200 kilometres north of the Polar Circle where the sun doesn't set one half of the year and doesn't rise the other half of it. We worked in the modern provincial mining community of Kiruna and among the indigenous Sami population in the endless landscapes around it, building sets and creating spectacular locations for this story of gruesome crime and natural mystery.
